Capturing your day, as it happens

You’re planning a wedding day that brings together the people who matter most.

My role is to document it honestly, giving you the space to enjoy the day, while quietly capturing everything as it unfolds.

Full Day Coverage

Most weddings I photograph are full-day celebrations, from morning preparations through to the evening. This approach lets your day unfold naturally, with time to capture your story completely and without feeling rushed.

For smaller or midweek weddings, I tailor the coverage to fit your day perfectly, focusing on the moments that matter most to you.

My Approach

I focus on what’s happening around me and the people I’m photographing. I offer gentle, direction when it helps, and step back when it doesn’t, keeping things relaxed and easy throughout the day.

Experience you can trust

After photographing weddings for many years, I understand the flow of the day.

I’m always paying attention to how it feels, adapting as things unfold and quietly anticipating what’s needed next. If timings change, the weather turns, or plans shift, you can relax knowing everything is handled without fuss or stress.

Getting great photos is my top priority, but making sure everyone feels comfortable and looked after comes a very close second.

I’m based near Inverness but frequently travel across Scotland.  I especially love the opportunity to explore new venues and locations, as new settings always inspires creativity.

Travel expenses apply to weddings located more than a 100-mile round trip from my home office. For some destinations, and to ensure peace of mind, an overnight stay the night before may be necessary. However, I’m always happy to travel back home on the same night after your celebration.

You can expect 500+ photos for a full day coverage and fewer for smaller weddings and elopements.

I aim to provide a short selection of preview images within a few days of your wedding. The full gallery will be ready within 4-6 weeks, depending on the time of year.

Coverage typically starts 2-3 hours before the ceremony, depending on the location and the size of the bridal party. The first dance is usually scheduled for 8pm but can often run later. Regardless, I stay for 30 minutes after the first dance.

Yes, I typically photograph both the bride and groom pre-ceremony. This is almost always doable, but if the two locations are more than a 10 minute drive apart, it may not be possible to cover both fully, but we can usually work something out.

As a Scottish wedding photographer, I’ve had my fair share of rainy days, and while a sunny day is always preferred, I’ve learned how to make the most of it! If the weather’s particularly bad, we can find a spot inside for family photos. But for couple portraits, we’ll still make it happen outside! I’ll bring an umbrella, and we’ll have some fun with it. Rainy days can lead to some unique and beautiful shots—so I promise we’ll still capture stunning photos, no matter the weather.
