”Photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do you describe your style?
I would describe my style as documentary based with some added creative direction when required. Whether it be a stunning bridal portrait pre-ceremony, or striking bride and groom shot – any moment where I need to step in to make things happen, it is done quickly and precisely, with good humour and fun. To me I’m just a photographer who likes to capture, and sometimes create, amazing photographs. Simple.
Do we get to keep our photographs?
Yes. The final sets of photographs on your USB drive are the edited high resolution digital files with a license to make copies and prints from among your family and friends. However copyright ownerships remains with Andy Taylor Photography.
What is your payment schedule?
After paying the £300 deposit the remaining balance is due two weeks before your wedding.
Can we supply you with a list of photographs?
I always ask for a formal family group shot list or around 8 family groups that are taken after the ceremony. However, it would be counterproductive to supply me with a ‘checklist’ of photographs as the majority of my time would be taken up going through that list and so many real time moments would be missed.
I have to cancel my wedding. Can we have our deposit back?
I’m afraid not. The deposit guarantees I will hold the date exclusively for you and once you’ve signed the booking form I turn away all other inquiries.
How long do stay at our wedding?
As standard I offer a full day photography coverage (usually around 10-12 hours) covering everything from morning preparation to evening celebrations.
How do we book you as our photographer?
The first port of call would be to email me through the contact page on my website and request my price guide. Ideally we would meet to discuss your wedding plans and ideas. If a get-together isn’t possible then I always recommend we have chat over the phone or via Skype. After that it’s a simple case filling out a booking form and returning it to me with a £300 deposit. When I have received both I’ll email you a booking confirmation and a proposed schedule for photography as per our discussion.
How many photographs do we get?
The actual number of images supplied really depends on many factors but generally speaking you can expect around 400 images that have been carefully selected and retouched to an exceptional standard.
What's the turnaround time after our wedding?
I aim to have your final set of photographs edited, online and posted out to you around 4-6 weeks after your wedding. If you purchase an album the first draft design will be ready then also. If you want to buy an album after your wedding, the first draft design will be ready to view 4 weeks after payment has been received. It is then up to you to get back to me with your requested design changes. Once the design has been finalised turn around time for album deliver is 4-6 weeks.
I’m not sure if I want album at this stage. Can we confirm this at a later date?
Yes. As mentioned above, at the booking stage there is a completed booking form and £300 deposit required to secure me as your photographer. Optional extras such as albums and engagement shoots can be booked at a later stage
Do you edit our photographs?
Yes absolutely! I take real pride in my editing style and each and every image supplied to you is carefully selected and hand edited one at time.
Can you hold our date?
I’m afraid not! I can only reserve your date when a completed booking form and deposit has been paid. To be fair to everyone I work on a first come first served basis.
