I was lovely to be part of Nikki & Neil’s wedding at Killearnan Church and the Drumossie Hotel in Inverness on Saturday.    Their family and friends were such a great bunch of people to be around and photograph and I really enjoyed photographing their wedding.

Lisa & Matthew’s wedding took place at Kilbrandon church on Seil Island with their reception being held at the very beautiful Lunga House.

I think sometimes I take Scotland for granted but a trip to the west coast reminds of the beauty we have in our country, beauty that was certainly matched by Lisa. The words, million and dollars spring to mind

On Wednesday I was delighted to photograph Ciaran and his instructor, Kelly. 

Cerian is a highly dedicated 2nd Dan Black Belt in the Martial Art of Tang Soo Do and has claimed many prestigious awards, both nationally and internationally; including Scottish Grand Champion, British Grand Champion and European Grand Champion in 2010.  He also won a bronze and 2 sliver medals at the World Championships in the USA in August 2011.   He is, what we say in Scotland, hard as nails :)

Ciaran and 3 other members of his club have been selected to attend and compete in the European Tang Soo Do competition held in Germany this month.   This is a fantastic honour and opportunity for them as they will be representing Inverness and Scotland as part of the Great Britain Team! 

Both Paula and I wish them all the very best and will be rooting for them all the way.

And thanks again for braving the cold....... barefooted!

I just had to blog a quick shot from Ciara’s photo shoot yesterday.   It is beautifully lit….if I do say so myself  and is just the kind of family photography I love to shoot.

I’m always flattered when a fellow photographer chooses me to photograph their wedding and there is that little added pressure that keeps you on your toes but I think Sarah was one of the most laid back brides I’ve ever had.  Even when the make-up team were well behind schedule and we virtually had no time for portraits pre-ceremony, Sarah was like, ‘hey it’s cool’!  It did mean Sarah arrived at the ceremony 30 minutes late and there was definitely a look of relief and joy on Alan’s face J

I was delighted to be Cerian & David’s wedding photographer on Saturday at the stunning Bunchrew House Hotel near Inverness.  It’s not every wedding I am blessed with such a super organised bride and groom who are so composed and laid back; the perfect combination from a photographer’s point of view.

There were many highlights from their fantastic day and it was a privilege to be trusted to document each and everyone.  From their beautifully conducted ceremony, to the all-encompassing Orkadian strip the willow first dance.
