It’ been a while since I’ve taken any photographs of my niece Abby and with the recent beautiful weather I thought now was a good time.

Many thanks to Anna, Abby’s Mum, for taking the time for our shoot today and following close by with hankies at the ready!

Also, I hope the photos cheer Dad up who’s currently working in the Black Sea in freezing temperatures.   Brrrrrrrrilliant

Yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting Kincraig Castle Hotel, near Invergordon.   A beautiful 18^th century castle set within its own mature gardens and considered by many as a hidden treasure in Ross-Shire.   If you are planning a wedding at the moment and are looking for a romantic Highland Castle to tie the knot, then be sure to contact the fantastic team and arrange a visit to see for yourself.

Emma & Andy’s wedding was the first Jewish wedding I had the privilege of photographing and what a fantastic experience it was.   It was filled with tradition and ceremony which I found incredibly fascinating, and such an enlightening experience too.   I think the breaking of the glass and Mazel Tov was the only part of the ceremony I had prior knowledge of but thankfully Emma & Andy were so helpful and went through each part of the ceremony with me in detail.  Oh and one or two youtube clips were helpful too

Something that really stood out for me at this wedding was the sense of family togetherness.   Both the Taylor and Freedman family were such lovely people to be around and I’m sure Emma & Andy have a very happy future ahead with such strong family values.

Many thanks Emma & Andy for asking me to photograph such an important day in your new life together.   And thanks for braving the elements to get some great shots of the two of you outside.  Good job keeping Emma warm Andy

Vikki & Graeme were married at the very beautiful Dornoch Cathedral on 11^th November 2011, which is without a doubt, the most memorable day of 2011 to be married.   However, I am sure for Vikki & Graeme the date is somewhat insignificant compared to the unforgettable day they had which was shared with so many of their family and friends.

I had such a great day and can’t thank Vikki and Graeme enough for putting so much effort into photography.  I know ‘one more photograph’ often turned into three or four but I’m sure they’ll agree it was worth it and I hope they enjoy the few previews while on their honeymoon

Thanks for trusting me to photograph your very special day Vikki and Graeme.  I am delighted with the results and can’t wait to design you a fantastic storybook.

Bunchrew House Hotel was the stunning location of Jennifer & Jim’s wedding I photographed on Friday.   It was my first wedding at Bunchrew (the first on many I hope) and it didn’t disappoint.  I am already looking forward to going back early next year.

It can often be a challenge when a there are lots kids at a wedding as you are never sure how they are going to perform on the day with so much going on around them.  However, Jennifer & Jim’s kids were absolutely brilliant.  Of course there were some tired and grumpy faces at some point but for the vast majority of the day they were all little angels.   Matthew was so helpful, both Eva and Emily were stars who loved the camera and little Macy was just adorable.

Thanks for choosing me to photograph your wedding Jennifer & Jim.  I got some great shots and can’t wait to design you a stunning storybook.

I rarely know how a storybook is going to look until it is completely finished but I am over the moon with their design.   The modern and clean design will certainly stand the test of time and I am sure their album will be treasured for many years.

I think autumn has officially arrived!  A rather ‘dreich’ day at Rouken Glen Park was the setting for Emma & Andy’s engagement shoot.   Putting the weather to one side, I had a great couple and a great location.   Not put off by the weather, I believe Emma’s word were ‘Andy, we are in Scotland.  Let’s do it’

Yesterday I decided I was going to shoot exclusively with available light and my 70-200mm lens.  I didn’t scout out the location beforehand and I was keen just to wander and see what we could find.  Unfortunately for Emma & Andy that meant jackets on, jackets off, every time I spotted another location.  Sorry guys

I thoroughly enjoyed yesterday.  No off-camera flash, no reflectors, not even a camera bag!  Just one camera, one lens and a great couple.   Love it!

I have to say, for someone who genuinely does not like having her photograph taken, Emma did extremely well.    In fact as the day went on Emma was requesting photographs left, right and centre and I was more than happy to oblige.  By the time we got to the evening bride and groom photo-session, Emma & Stephen strolled through it and we got some great shots J
